EmFace

The Face Place is proud to be the first clinic in New Zealand to offer EmFace. This is the first and only non-invasive, hands-free procedure that simultaneously treats facial skin and muscles resulting in less wrinkles and more lift.

EmFace utilises the simultaneous application of Synchronized RF (Radio Frequency) and HIFES™ (High-Intensity Facial Electrical Stimulation) technologies to affect facial skin, muscles, and connective tissue.

Synchronised RF remodels & smooths skin by heating the dermis and increasing the levels of collagen and elastin fibers.

HIFES™ technology restores & elevates facial tissues by selectively contracting muscles and increasing density & quality of muscle structure.

EmFace clinical studies showed participants who completed the recommended treatment course experienced, on average, a 37% reduction in wrinkles, 30% increase in facial muscle tone, and 23% lifting effect.

Please note: EmFace is only available at our Takapuna clinic.

FAQs

Where do I start?

New Skin Clients
Welcome! Your journey begins with either an Initial Skin Consultation or an Initial Injectables Consultation depending on your primary concerns. During your consult your clinician will discuss your concerns and treatment options and determine if EmFace is suitable for you.
If so, we’ll schedule your first EmFace treatment for another date.

If you have any queries whatsoever, contact our wonderful admin team who can help direct you down the right treatment pathway.

Existing Skin Clients

Your EmFace journey begins with your first appointment which includes a brief introduction to the technology and your clinician will explain all the requirements to make sure you’re suitable to continue with treatment that day.

How many treatments will I need?

A course of 4 or 6 treatments are required for best results and treatments should be booked 7-10 days apart.

In order to maintain your results, 1-2 treatments are recommend annually.

What areas can be treated with EmFace?

EmFace applicators are intended to be applied over the forehead, cheeks and the submantalis (chin/under chin). Effects of EmFace are visible in overall facial appearance.

What does EmFace treatment feel like?

The HIFES energy and synchronised RF energy delivers a warm tingling sensation as well as a vibration-type sensation.

How long does it take to see the final result?

You begin to feel tangible results right after the procedures. Positive results are usually reported in four to six weeks after the last session and continue to improve for several weeks following the procedure.

Optimal results are visible 90 days post your last treatment.

Is there any pre-treatment preparation or post treatment downtime?

The EmFace treatment requires the skin to be in optimal condition and well hydrated prior to commencing treatment.

You can resume your regular lifestyle right after the treatment. It is recommended to follow a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, and proper hydration for best results. EmFace is a non-invasive procedure that requires no recovery or downtime.

Can I have EmFace treatment if I have injectables?

Absolutely! In fact EmFace is an excellent accompaniment to your injectable treatments!

You will need to wait one week post BotoxⓇ treatment or one month after fillers to have EmFace treatments but because there is no downtime, you can have injectable treatments almost immediately after your final EmFace treatment.

Who is EmFace not suitable for?

If you have any form of metal implants in your face or mouth, or significant scars on your cheek or forehead you might not be a suitable candidate, however this can be discussed and assessed in your initial skin consultation.

As with most of our medical treatments, it’s not suitable when you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How much does EmFace treatment cost?

Please see our Pricing page.
