Biojuve – New Innovative Technology

As mentioned in our last newsletter, here at The Face Place, we keep our ears to the ground with regard to new technology in the form of both devices and products, and often there are tweaks and improvements but nothing completely new.

With the launch of Biojuve: This is truly new technology which re-establishes the perfect skin microbiome. For you to truly appreciate this breakthrough, we explain the importance of skin microbiome below.

Microbiome consists of micro-organisms, including bacteria, fungus, archaea and virus. This may sound like a revolting concept but the right mix of these little critters can help prevent pathogenic organisms (which cause disease) from gobbling up the nutrients in your skin and prevents their multiplication, in other words, improve the immune system.

A good microbiome can produce metabolites such as vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants: given we are often trying to replace these components with the more conventional approach to skin care, you can see how beneficial this is, because your own microbiome is doing it for you. In addition, many skincare ingredients target specific cells, whereas the biome focuses on the entire ecosystem of the skin.

An imbalance in your healthy microbiome is called Dysbiosis: this can cause common skin disorders such as acne, eczema, psoriasis seborrheic dermatitis, and infection. Evidence suggests that an imbalance can also determine whether your skin biome is contributing to or protecting you from non melanoma skin cancers. A healthy microbiome isn’t just about protecting from disease in the skin, it can also slow down the ageing process.

There are many factors influencing your microbiome, including genetics, environmental factors, make up, age and pathogens. An imbalance can also accelerate ageing. Certain micro-organisms called C Acne’s will help rejuvenate the skin. Biojuve employs something called Xycrobe™ technology which will create a beautiful, harmonious biome that will lead to better skin immunity from pathogens and environmental stress, strengthened skin barrier and increased production of vitamins, metabolites, amino acids and antioxidants: all essential for healthy skin.

Biojuve is a ‘one of a kind’ skincare that harnesses Xycrobe™ technology to support the power of live strain of C Acne’s: the perfect solution for any skin type or condition. On your next visit to TFP, talk to your medical skin therapist about integrating this new range of products into your home care.
