Healite II Light Therapy

Healite II Light Therapy stimulates your body’s natural processes to heal and rejuvenate the skin. While we previously used Omnilux for light therapy at The Face Place, we have recently upgraded all our machines to Healite II in both our clinics.

Similar to Omnilux, the Healite II machine has 1800 LED lights and it uses the wavelengths of 830, 633 and 415 nanometres.

What we like about the Healite II in particular is that is has Optical Lens Array Technology. This gives its lights more concentrated output with less light scattering, which improves its efficacy and thus boosts results.

Healite II

Healite II uses gentle, UV-free light to reduce inflammation and improve healing and the skin’s regenerative processes. Hydration levels are boosted, which gives the skin a youthful glow. It is often combined with our professional facial treatments to minimise visible fine lines and wrinkles.

Healite II also helps in the fight against acne. Healite II targets the bacteria associated with acne by delivering a constant light that penetrates deep into the layers of the skin.

Healite has also been shown to be an effective mood booster and is excellent for Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or the ‘Winter Blues’ – while helping your skin look great at the same time!

FAQs

Do I need an Initial Skin Consultation first?
No, this is our only skin treatment that can be safely given to anyone and any skin type without first having an in-depth skin consultation. However it’s always a great idea to have an Initial Skin Consultation and assessment, as this will set up your homecare and treatment plan. Plus, the cost of the consult ($150) is redeemable on skincare products purchased with us.
What should I expect after the treatment?
Skin is refreshed and healthier, with a lovely glow. Stimulation of the collagen-producing cells takes place causing the skin’s foundation to be strengthened. A course of Healite II treatments gives the best results, and the effects can continue after the course for several weeks-months. A single Healite II treatment immediately after your injectable treatment helps improve recovery and maximises the results of your treatment.
How long does Healite II treatment take?
The whole procedure takes up to 30 minutes. Your skin will be cleansed before the light treatment and afterwards moisturisers and sunblock are applied.
Does Healite II treatment hurt?
No. It is completely painless, lying under a bright red light, and once you get used to the light it is often very relaxing.

In fact, during the treatment you will also enjoy a blissful neck and shoulder massage!

There is no downtime afterwards – your skin will just have a gorgeous glow.

Treatment is safe and effective for all skin types and colours.
How quickly does it work?
Although you may see improvements during the course of treatments, optimum results will be seen 8-12 weeks after treatment, because the natural processes of healing and rejuvenation, stimulated by the light therapy, continue to work for this length of time.
How long will the treatment last?
For maximum skin benefits and long-lasting results, a course of 7-10 treatments over 3-5 weeks is recommended. A single booster treatment every 4-6 weeks can help maintain results.
